Streams in the Negev

A theo-historical Israel seminar for returning Christian leaders and influencers

The Desert Is Calling

There is a reason the prophets went into the wilderness. It is not a place of absence, but rather it is God’s seminary, where distractions fall away and what remains is truth.

In Streams in the Negev, we invite you to step again into the Land. Not as a tourist, but as a learner and a student..Here, between Scripture and sand, between the ancient and the modern, you will encounter the stories, challenges, and faith that shape Israel today.

This December, come walk the wilderness roads where God still speaks.

Where History, Theology, and Life Meet

For more than forty years, Nicolayson’s Ltd (AKA Shoresh Ministries) has led Christian educational encounters in Israel—linking the living world of Scripture with the living people of the Land.

Founded by the Anglican Protestant community in Jerusalem, we bring a perspective rooted in presence. We have prayed here, studied here, and served here for generations.

Streams in the Negev builds on that heritage. It is designed for those who have already been to Israel and now seek to see deeper—beyond the pilgrimage path, into the heart of the desert where God refines His people.

“In the quiet vastness of the Negev, you begin to see Scripture differently. The wilderness is not empty: it is alive with revelation.”

Eric Balmer
VP of Marketing Pied Piper

For Those Who’ve Walked Here Before

This seminar is for Christian leaders, pastors, bishops, educators, and media professionals who have already stood in this land and wish to understand it more deeply. It is for those ready to see the living connection between the Bible’s landscapes and Israel’s present-day story—those called not just to visit, but to return.

A Gift — and a Commitment

All expenses for this program are covered, including flights up to $1,300 USD, hotels, meals, and in-country transport.

While the seminar is fully funded, we ask participants for a $300 commitment fee to confirm attendance. This small contribution—about five percent of the overall cost—helps cover shared tips, park entrances, and group lunches.

It’s a practical way to ensure that every participant who joins is fully invested in the journey.

A Legacy of Presence Since 1823

The Anglican Protestant community in Israel has lived and worked in the Land for over two centuries: serving, teaching, and bearing witness to God’s faithfulness.

Through Nicolayson’s Ltd, established in the 1980s, we continue that mission by leading educational initiatives that explore the Jewish roots of faith and the modern life of Israel.

Our history is one of relationship, trust, and continuity. An inheritance we now invite you to share.
